Hello! My name is Edwin and I'm a qualified maths teacher. I began tutoring way back in 2006, while studying for my A-levels, and have been regularly tutoring students ever since. In 2011 I received a BSc in Mathematics from Durham University, before qualifying as a teacher at the University of York in 2012.
An ex-grammar school teacher, I recently embarked on a new career as a software developer. However, I continue to tutor privately on a part-time basis in Blandford and its surrounding areas.

I offer flexible home tuition to fit in with busy term-time afternoons and evenings. As an enthusiastic graduate, I relate well to young students making their way through secondary and further education. A fundamental aspect of my approach in helping students is to develop their core sets of basic numerical and algebraic techniques. In my experience, that builds confidence and provides the foundation for exam success.

How my tuition works
In my experience, tuition works best on a weekly basis, where my students set up a regular time-slot. I come to you, and also provide suitable maths resources. I can even set additional homework.
After an initial consultation, and a look through your school maths books, I will devise a plan to meet your needs - whether that's to achieve a particular grade in upcoming exams, or simply to consolidate your existing mathematical knowledge.
